# The fans' dream team comes to life

To celebrate its 125th anniversary, Olympique de Marseille went all out. On May 2, 2025, the Orange Vélodrome hosted a one-of-a-kind exhibition match featuring club legends such as Didier Drogba, Samir Nasri, and Robert Pirès. But before taking the field, the fans got to decide the team lineups. Through this experience, fans were able to create their own legendary starting 11 by selecting 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 2 forwards from a roster of iconic former players. This game brought fans’ dreams to life by directly influencing the match lineup. The campaign was heavily promoted on the homepage, with a dedicated article, Instagram Stories, on the club’s Fanzone, and via a QR code displayed on giant screens during the previous match, attracting several thousand participants and boosting ticket sales.
